We are seeking a Professional Electrical Engineer to be responsible for preparing lighting and power construction drawings and specifications, coordinating with mechanical engineers/designers, running load calculations and reviewing shop drawings and submittals. Responsibilities
Design of lighting and power systems for both new construction and renovations.
Create plans and schematics, perform calculations necessary for equipment selections, and provide systems narratives and specifications.
Create and detail panel schedules, one-line diagrams, risers, and lighting fixture schedules.
Review drawings for quality control.
Perform field investigations and construction administration.
Provide company representation at owner/architect/contractor meetings.
Qualifications
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (Texas)
NCEES registration (or ability to acquire within 6 months).
1-2 year of experience in the design of commercial/office/retail/industrial facility projects
Required Skills:
Experience in the design of commercial/office/retail/industrial facility projects
Experience with AutoCAD
Experience with MS Office
Good working knowledge of industry standards, practices and codes
Excellent time and project management skills
Excellent verbal and graphic communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
